I have a little Chihuahua named Leon, and my husband has two 75 pound Labradors. I thought it might be fun to put together a list of our dogs favorite stuff.
Starting the number ten; Bones. Our Labradors love to chew on bones, the bigger the better. We try to find all natural bones and we monitor their chewing so they don’t choke on the pieces. It’s amazing the hours of entertainment one bone will bring!
Number nine; Crates and Carriers. Our Labradors stay in their crates at night. They like the security of the crate and we like the fact that we don’t have to wonder what they are eating! Our Chihuahua has several different carriers that aid us in taking him places, like his backpack that fits under the seat of an airplane, and keeping him safe and warm when we go somewhere in winter.
Number eight; playpen or exercise pen. Since Leon was little, he has always stayed in a playpen when we were gone at work or couldn’t watch him closely. We also used it as a house training aid when he was little. We would just line it with puppy pads and gave him a bed to sleep in and he did just fine. We also used it to keep him safe when we could not watch him all the time.
Number seven; car seats and belts. Leon has this neat little car seat that attaches to the console of our truck. It connects to each front seat and has a strap that goes under the console so that it won’t move. It also has a clip so that we can ensure he won’t go flying if we are ever in an accident…it also keeps him off of our laps while we are trying to drive. Since, our Labs are too big for a car seat, they make safety belts for bigger dogs that will keep them safely belted in.
